About Find

The VISION

In 2005, Warren Strybosch, founder of Find Marketing Pty Ltd, was working in his own small business unrelated to advertising. Warren wanted to advertise his small business and after looking into the options i.e. radio, print in newspapers, online advertising, he started to realize that it was going to cost a lot; which it did, and the results were mixed. He felt the market was cornered by the likes of Yellow Pages™ who were charging a small fortune for businesses to get online or be seen in their printed telephone directories. Alternatively, paying for radio and television advertising was very expensive for a small business and at the time this was not a viable option. Warren felt that advertising was too expensive and wished someone would come up with a cheaper advertising solution without compromising on the product on offer. It was back in 2005 that Warren felt that he needed to be the one to take on the giants in the field of advertising by developing products that were more affordable to small and medium businesses. First, Warren had to come up with a brand name that was going to be simple enough to remember and that represented finding someone in business. After researching business names and hearing how someone had trademark a common word, Warren realized that 'Find' was not being used and that 'Find' really symbolized finding people in business. At first, Warren was told that it was going to be impossible to trademark 'Find' as it was too common a word and that it would cost a lot of money in the process. To Warren's credit, he gave it a go and after failing at his first attempt to register Find, Warren finally achieved what everyone said could not be done. Warren's company, Find Marketing Pty Ltd, was now the owner of registered trademark of Find®. Find® was now born and with the help of Mathew Hawker, part owner and Director of Find Marketing Pty Ltd who joined Find in 2008 and is a key person in the business, it has continued to grow.

As a company, we wanted to do something different. Our first goal was to step away from simply having one website that promoted businesses. We felt that Yellow™ and others like them were limited in what they could do going forward as their site had to cater for all industries. With Find® we felt the need to have industry specific online directories that could cater for each separate industries needs and change as they changed. As such, in the short 4 years of operation we have grown leaps and bounds from offering 20 industries specific website directories to now owning over 250 industry specific sites.

We have not stopped with online material but realized there is still a need for printed material as long as it is done right. As such, we are now producing region specific printed coupon booklets that allow small to medium businesses to advertise at a very affordable price. Also, keep an eye out for our upcoming Find™ business directory iPhone App.

Diversified Approach to Advertising

Online

There is no secret that we as a community are moving more online. As Bill Gates said when speaking to an audience of Microsoft's top advertising customers, "As dramatic as things happening on the Web are, that's actually what all advertising will be in the future."

  • - NOW, over 85% of consumers use search engines to find local businesses.
  • - Over 9.73 million people in Australia have smart phones with Internet access.
  • - More than 50% of people now access the internet via their mobile phones

Your potential customers have migrated online. Has your business?

Print Media

Print media is still an effective way to advertise if it is targeted to your potential costumers. This is why we have developed region specific coupon booklets to reach consumers within each local area. These booklets will be distributed via non-for-profit organizations (NFP), clubs and societies that are the lifeblood of our community. To help them raise needed funds to keep them operating effectively, Find Marketing Pty Ltd is willing to give away 60% of the sale of each booklet they sell via their membership. At Find® we believe it is important to support these groups who in turn support us in the community.

  • - 9 in 10 Australian shop at their local community stores to support local business and many seek good local services when purchasing a home.
  • - 4 in 5 Australians shop within their local area at least once a week
  • - 4 in 5 people say their local stores helps them feel connected to their local community
  • - Regardless of whether people live in regional Australia or the main cities, they are equally likely to shop within their local area at least once a week

New Media

Mobile Phone App

Most small businesses have never considered making a mobile phone application as the average total cost of development can be between $32,265 to $64,530.

As such, Find® have developed a mobile application that will advertise your own business and help bring consumers to your door. Features on our iPhone App include saving specific industries to favorites, saving specific businesses to favorites and a notification function to stream your uploaded discount coupons straight to consumer's homepage screen - all for one small fee.

Social Media

Along with our 250 websites we have 250 business pages on facebook. We are developing our systems so that each new premium listing and all coupon deals will stream to the facebook pages. We hope you 'Like' them as I am sure your customers will.

Integration

We believe that a successful advertising campaign is one that integrates Online, Print and Social Media together to target your specific audience. At Find® we will continue to develop ways to make it easier for you to FIND the customers you need.
